Megan has been married to her best-friend John for 3 sweet years and welcomed their first baby Lilah in the comfort of their home surrounded by an incredible birth team from All About Babies in October of 2021. She was born in Ohio but only remembers growing up in Texas and considers herself a Texan through and through. When Megan’s not assisting a birth she’s probably getting lots of Lilah kisses, enjoying time with friends and family or venting to someone about episiotomies or the cascade of interventions. Her absolute favorite food is probably a well prepared seafood dish of any kind (you know, within reason). Little Elm Beach will always have a special place for Megan. It’s where she and her handsome husband shared their first of many kisses and where he would ask her the easiest question she’s ever been asked (do you want a homebirth?… just kidding. He proposed)! From early highschool she knew she wanted a career in birth work and the more she’s learned the more she’s loved it and known that she’s right where she belongs. Megan has been doing birth work since the summer of 2017. She has so many “favorite things” when it come her job, but one of her top three is the moment when the dad looks at his laboring or postpartum wife with so much love and awe. She becomes his hero for a moment and I love watching him be struck with the reality that he married a rockstar! Megan’s favorite part about working for All About Babies is that it is an unapologetically Christian environment. No matter your religious preference you will feel loved and accepted by AAB, but I truly believe that the Christ-centered care that you receive and the love and prayer that gets poured into you there sets this birth center apart and makes all the difference.
