I was introduced to the world of midwifery during my teenage years when my sister used a midwife for her pregnancies. Although I was not present for the births, I was able to attend some of her prenatal appointments over the years. A few years later I spent time shadowing under a doctor in my hometown. After months of learning from her, she surprised me one day by announcing that she thought I needed to be a midwife. With a huge leap of faith, I did just that. I enrolled in the Association of Texas Midwives training program and the adventure began! In January of 2016, I moved to Argyle and began my apprenticeship with All About Babies birth center. I absolutely love working with strong women and walking along side them during such a special time of life.
